Fluorine

Fluorite:Fluorite is a major natural mineral containing fluorine, with the chemical composition calcium fluoride (CaF₂). It typically occurs as cubic or octahedral crystals, comes in a variety of colors (colorless, green, purple, etc.), and has a vitreous luster. It often occurs in association with quartz, calcite, barite, and various metal sulfide minerals. As the most important source of fluorine, it is an irreplaceable starting material in the fluorochemical industry chain. Simultaneously, as a key flux in the metallurgical industry, through mining and beneficiation processes, it provides the foundation for the subsequent preparation of hydrofluoric acid, fluorides, and high-end materials.
