Data from the Ministry of Transport showed that from January to August, the country's ports completed foreign trade cargo throughput of 3.34 billion tons, a year-on-year increase of 9.7% and 16.9% compared with the same period in 2019.

International air cargo volume has grown steadily. As of the end of August, the industry had 252 all-cargo aircraft, flying to 22 countries around the world, and the total cargo volume reached 10.324 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 4.9%.

China-Europe trains remain stable and smooth. As of the end of August, China-Europe trains had 86 routes, reaching 217 cities in 25 European countries, and had shipped a total of 1.262 million TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 23%. The cargo handling capacity of major land ports continued to improve. China signed intergovernmental international road transport agreements with 21 countries along the Belt and Road. In August, the cargo handling volume of major land ports such as Alashankou, Horgos, Erenhot, Manchuria, and Suifenhe increased by 89.1% year-on-year.
